Over the summer, I plan on doing many things.  I will probably play Tennis with my pals Nirmit, Dhrumil, Vrushesh, Suket, Adit,  Vanshil, and Parth.  I am not very good, but it's still a lot of fun.  I plan on taking Earth and Space as a summer course since I want to take a grade 12 course.  My main priority is to enjoy life for what it is with a smile that spans a mile.

In general, I learned many things in Computer Engineering.  This course has allowed me to learn how computers function the way they do.  I will continue to apply everything that I learned into real life.  This course will give ,

My proudest piece of work would be my write up for the culminating assignment.  I spent a great amount of time writing down every detail and everything we learned from the beginning of the year.  The culminating was given to us in order for us to refurbish our memories and go further on what we learned.

We used the breadboards very often.  This signified that this might be an important aspect for the future at Woburn.  With the electric circuits, we did the parallelport assignment, we tested out Adders, and we used it for the traffic light culminating assignment.

This was a very short unit that we learned.  However, learning this did ensure that we wouldn't plug something in the wrong area.  It prevents us from making any mistakes and it makes our life easier because we don't have to research them anymore.  There were ports about the hardware that we use, and there are even a few gaming ports.

We learned about how a group of computers communicate and transport data with each other.  The network topologies somewhat illustrates a bird's eye view of what a network looks like.  We learned about the bus topology, the star topology, the ring topology, the mesh topology, and the wireless topology.  Some are more efficient than others but all of them have their benefits and consequences.

Parallelport programming took a lot of intellectual thinking rather than physical work.  We had to learn how to program using Turing.  This taught us how to communicate with a device.  It allowed us to perform certain tasks and know why the program carries out the tasks.

This unit was closely related to our logic gates unit.  It used a lot of the gates that we learned in order to function.  We used Multimedia Logic again for this unit.  We also built some of the adders on the breadboards to show what they would look like in real life.

We learned many things about logic gates.  We used the Multimedia Logic program to simulate the gates and actually see how they behave.  We learned that each of the different gates gave different outputs and that they had rules for converting the input.

The hardware of the computer is basically the physical components of a computer that can be touched.  As we learned, there are many components that carry out important tasks that allow the computer to function.  They effect everything like memory, storage, speed, etc.
