For our electronic circuits unit, we mainly used a breadboard. We used it to test out gates, two-bit full adders, two-bit half adders, and even for the culminating assignment. We learned about short circuits, different components, and different kinds of chips. We had this unit to show what a real life circuit looks like. We had a lot of diagrams, but this will help us if we need to wire something in the future.
The actual breadboard.
Other needed materials.
ResistorsResistors were used to control the voltage of the circuit.
LEDThe LEDs showed us whether or not our breadboard was carrying out the correct functions and allowed us to find the right output for every input.
Battery and ConnectorWe used a 9 volt battery as the power source for our assignments, and the connector transferred the electricity from the battery to the circuit.

WireWe used many different coloured wires, but the colour doesn't matter.
Wire StripperWe used wire strippers to expose the metallic part of the wires so we can plug them in the slots.
VoltmeterWe used the voltmeter to check if our battery was working and to figure out where we had a short-circuit.
